CQC Mock Inspections and Inspection preparation
Are you ready for your next CQC inspection?
Let Martin and Jenny support your practice to get ready and feel confident for your next inspection. We are the experts perfectly placed and skilled to help and support you and your team. We have experience working for the CQC having taken part in over 100 practice inspections. We also know general practice and how it works, Martin has over 20 years of experience in practice management.
We will visit your practice for a day and undertake a mock inspection to identify your practice’s current position in relation to the CQC standards.
Our visit is supportive and positive, focusing on what the practice does well and identifying where improvements may be needed. We know the inspection frameworks and we use our experience of doing CQC inspections coupled with our hands on real experience of working in practice management and nursing. We can advise practices on the steps that need to be taken to be CQC compliant, the evidence that inspectors may want to see and the latest guidance and good practice that can help you.
We spend time with the key practice staff, the CQC Registered Manager, GPs, Nursing and clinical team members as well as the management and support staff too support the whole practice team. We test the practice’s readiness for CQC, speak to a variety of staff and review the full range of the five CQC domains.
Our approach is friendly and supportive. We aim to give you practical advice and solutions to any compliance issues we find. We are on your side and in the practice to help. We know that everyone in the practice wants to give the best service they can to their patients and we want to work with you to make the service as good as it can be and to be able to have the evidence at hand to demonstrate this to inspectors.
At the end of the day we provide verbal feedback and this is followed up with a detailed report, clear recommendations and a practical, prioritised action plan to take forward.
We have found that by involving a range of practice staff in the mock inspection process the action plan provides an opportunity for those team members to be engaged and involved in taking forward the actions needed, sharing the responsibility and getting them done. By understanding the requirements team members are also in a better position to maintain the good practice into the future.
